    My Life Story

    I grew up in a home where we did not go to church until my parents’ marriage started to fall apart in my teens. Although the experience of separation and divorce was difficult for our family, it was through this time that we started going to church and I received Christ at the age of 16.

    Unfortunately there were no Christians around me who were able to lead me along in my Christian walk and eventually I went away to university and things with God were put on hold. I never stopped believing, I just did not know how to connect with my Saviour. I did not realize it was simply to begin reading my Bible and talking to Him that I would find Him (Jeremiah 29:13 and Psalm 34:10).

    Years later, after trying to go to church and being “good”, I was hungry for more when I discovered a Bible study called BSF. I began to attend and at once was on fire for the Lord because His Word brought life to my starving soul (Matthew 4:4) and I finally knew my Saviour! I began to change and my husband and family noticed and eventually my husband too was saved.

    As our relationship with our Lord deepened, my husband and I knew the Lord was calling us to more of Him. We prayed for an entire year before we came to Harvest Bible Chapel on Christmas Eve 2006. That service rocked our entire family because Jesus Christ was lifted high and God was glorified in this place. We knew Harvest was an answer to prayer.

    Hope For Harvest

    My hope for Harvest Bible Chapel is that we would be a church that welcomes people with the love of Jesus Christ, that continues to preach the whole Word of God with boldness for the glory of God, bathed in prayer, so that lives are redeemed, restored and renewed because of Jesus Christ alone, and that we are obedient to Jesus’ command to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28: 19-20    (905) 827-4157
