    My Life Story

    I like to think of my life in two phases. Phase one was my Ephesians 2:1-3 life. I was blessed to be part of a large loving family growing up in Downsview Ontario with hard working parents who had emigrated from England. While my parents were not regular church attendees, I occasionally showed up at neighbourhood youth groups in order to get in on some of the fun activities advertised. As a university student I was definitely “living in the passions of the flesh” and was totally self focused and seeking all that the world had to offer. Sometime in my late twenties my life took an about turn. That was the beginning of my Ephesians 2:4-5 life. At that time through my sister’s influence, my wife’s prayers and a close friend’s mentoring I received the mercy and grace of God and a new life in Jesus Christ.

    The Lord has continued to grow me deeper in my walk with Him from that day. His most abundant blessings, besides my salvation and provisions in Him, have been my wife Janice of 32 years and my three sons Christopher, Nick and Eliott. After a 25 year career in the teaching profession, God called me to leave that behind and become part of the pastoral staff at Harvest Bible Chapel. It has been such an amazing privilege to serve the Lord and shepherd the people he sends to this church.

    Hope for Harvest

    My ongoing prayer for this church is that we would “hold firm to the trustworthy word” Titus 1:9. In an age where the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ can get obscured, watered down and made man- centered as opposed to God-centered, we need to be committed to proclaiming the true gospel in a clear and understandable way so that people will know Him and follow Him for the sake of His glory.
