English as a Second Language

Just like our neighbourhoods, schools and workplaces, Harvest Bible Chapel Oakville reflects a rich tapestry of languages and culture.  Motivated by our love for Jesus Christ we are seeking to serve the needs of anyone who would benefit from an English as a Second Language. (ESL) program here at Harvest as well as in our local community.

English Conversation Café
We feel led to reach out to those in our community who desire to learn the English language. These may be newcomers to Canada or those who are seeking to improve their English language proficiency. Our long range plan is to begin classes in the fall of 2012 where the basic English skills will be taught using the Bible as the text and basis of discussion. In the meantime we will be hosting an ‘English Conversation Cafe’ where we can befriend newcomers, practice language skills in a comfortable setting, and share the love of Christ.
