WEDDINGS
Marriage is
a special and sacred gift of God for the welfare and happiness of
mankind. As a church we want to help you establish your marriage on God’s
firm foundation and also plan a wedding that celebrates your love and brings
glory to God.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold
fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is
profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.” Eph. 5:31-32
Please fill out our online Wedding Questionnaire
and our Special Events Coordinator (SEC) will be in touch with you shortly.
Section One: Booking Process
- Fill out a Marriage Application, Wedding Questionnaire
and Facility Reservation form
. These forms will provide the
information required by the government and Harvest Bible Chapel. Once the
forms are received, an application is made on your behalf to the Elders for
approval. If approval has been granted you will be contacted and arrangements
for an interview with a pastor will be set up.
- Meet with a pastor. This initial meeting will help us
to get to know you and also to find out about your spiritual journey. The
confirmation of the wedding date and Premarital Course will be discussed at
this time.
- At sometime during your planning of the wedding day, a meeting
with Harvest Bible Chapel’s Special Events Coordinator (SEC) will take place to
discuss the ceremony and building requirements and any other questions. At that
time the facility form will be reviewed and any necessary additions or changes
made.
- Please consult the SEC if there are any changes or special
needs that come up during the planning of your wedding, it will be added to
your request form. The SEC will need to know specifics in order to communicate
these to the A/V and Custodial staff.

the wedding date with the SEC. At this time the details of the ceremony will be
reviewed with the couple. Confirmation of A/V and custodial needs and other

FAQ’s
- Can we have a pastor outside of Harvest Bible Chapel
officiate the wedding ceremony?
If you would like to have a pastor outside of Harvest
officiate your ceremony, he will be required to fill out a Pastor's Application
and submit it to our main office for pastoral approval before moving ahead.
-
What if one of us has been married before?
Although this is a sensitive and at times controversial
issue, God's Word gives clear direction and teaching on this important topic.
We believe the Bible indicates situations that occur in previous marriages that
allow and bring God's approval on remarriage. At the same time, there are
situations that do not. If you have been married before, please make an
appointment with the pastor you have chosen to officiate your wedding to
discuss your situation. This must be done before your wedding date is
confirmed.
-
We are currently living together. Can we be married at
Harvest Bible Chapel?
We believe that God's desire is that a man and woman would
not live together until after their commitment to one another has been
solemnized before God, family, and friends. Because we believe God's ways are
always right and best for us, we ask that couples would honor this if you are
to be married at Harvest Bible Chapel. If you are living together, please make
an appointment with the pastor you have chosen to officiate your wedding to discuss
this matter.
